Tarangire National Park, located in northern Tanzania, is one of the country’s most iconic wildlife destinations. Known for its dramatic landscapes, seasonal swamps, and towering baobab trees, the park is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. Covering an area of approximately 2,850 square kilometers, Tarangire is home to an impressive variety of animals and offers a unique safari experience.
One of the park’s standout features is its large elephant population. During the dry season, Tarangire becomes a vital refuge for these majestic creatures as they congregate near the Tarangire River, the park's primary water source. In fact, it’s common to see herds of up to 300 elephants moving gracefully across the park. In addition to elephants, the park is also home to lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and a diverse range of bird species, making it a exceptional destination for both wildlife and birdwatching enthusiasts.

Four days gives you a real circuit instead of a single rushed park visit — typically Tarangire or Lake Manyara combined with Serengeti or Ngorongoro Crater, with two to three full park days.
Five days is our most popular northern-circuit length, typically covering three parks with no single day feeling rushed — enough time for the Serengeti's scale and the Ngorongoro Crater's density of wildlife.
Our longest standard circuit covers Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater with no rushed transfer days, leaving real time at each park for game drives rather than just driving between them.
