6-Day Tanzania Safari Packages

The Full Northern Circuit

6-Day Tanzania Safari Packages 2026

Who Is This For?

Repeat Tanzania visitors, dedicated wildlife enthusiasts, travelers combining safari with Kilimanjaro who want the full circuit, and anyone willing to invest in doing this properly.

What Will You See?

All four major northern parks across six days — Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti (two full days), and Ngorongoro Crater — with no rushed transfer days. Every park gets genuine time, not a drive-through.

When to Go?

June–October is the premium window. July–August for migration crossings. January–March for calving. Six days allows enough flexibility to adjust the Serengeti camp based on where the migration herds are positioned.

Where?

Complete northern Tanzania circuit from Arusha or Moshi. Typical route: Arusha → Tarangire → Lake Manyara → Serengeti (2 nights) → Ngorongoro → Arusha. Some itineraries swap park order based on season.

Why This Length?

Six days is the length where you stop feeling like you're being rushed from one park to the next. Two Serengeti days means you can drive to the northern migration zone one day and the central plains the next — genuinely different terrain and wildlife.

How It Works

We plan the specific park sequence based on your travel dates and migration position. Private 4×4 vehicle, expert guide, all park fees, accommodation, and meals throughout. No group joining — your vehicle, your schedule.

Accommodation Options

Budget: Basic tented camps or public campsites inside parks — same wildlife access, very basic facilities.
Mid-Range: Comfortable lodges with en-suite bathrooms, restaurant meals, and pool access at most properties.
Luxury: Premium lodges and tented camps with private decks, full-service dining, and concession access.
Six days is our longest standard circuit, covering Tarangire, the Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater with no rushed transfer days. It suits travelers who want real time at each park for game drives, or who are combining several specific interests — the migration, the crater's wildlife density, and Tarangire's elephants — into one trip.

Tanzania is one of the top safari countries in Africa, and there are many options for a 6-day safari here. You can do a safari in isolation, or combine it with a beach holiday. Zanzibar is only a short plane hop away, and mainland Tanzania has some beautiful, idyllic beaches too. Adventure junkies might want to tag on an epic climb of Africa’s tallest mountain, Mt Kilimanjaro. On a Tanzanian 6-day safari, you can visit the world-famous Northern safari circuit, featuring the Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park, or the lesser-known Southern safari circuit for an off-the-beaten-track safari. Whichever one you choose, you’ll go home with lots of precious memories, and chances are, one day, you’ll be back for more.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Park entrance fees, a private 4x4 safari vehicle with pop-up roof, an English-speaking driver-guide, accommodation for the nights specified, and all meals during the safari. International flights, visa fees, travel insurance, tips, and personal expenses are excluded.

Budget safaris use mobile tented camps — you sleep in a tent with a camp bed, shared ablutions, and meals cooked by the camp chef. Lodge safaris use permanent buildings with en-suite bathrooms and restaurant service. The parks, game drives, and guide are identical; only the overnight experience differs.

Match your days to the parks you want to cover without feeling rushed. One park can be done in 1-2 days. Two or three parks need 4-6 days. The full northern circuit (Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, and Lake Manyara) needs 5-8 days to cover properly.

Yes, this is very common. A typical Tanzania trip combines safari, a Kilimanjaro climb, and a Zanzibar beach stay into one 10-14 day itinerary. We handle all the logistics and sequencing so flights and transfers connect properly.

June-October (dry season) concentrates wildlife near water and provides the clearest game viewing. January-March is excellent for the Serengeti calving season. The green season (November-May) has fewer visitors, lower prices, and lush scenery, though wildlife is more spread out.
